This full moon is commonly known as the Long Nights full moon because it is the time of the year in which the nights are the longest. As we grow closer to the Winter solstice and the the night will once again grow shorter. During this time of darkness it is a good time to evaluate the past year and leave the dark times behind you. There is a very simple ritual that you can perform to ofcu on purification and trust of what is to come. I found it in the Witches’ Datebook 2014 and it is by James Kambos and it goes as follows:

“Cover your altar with a white cloth, representing a future shrouded in mystery. Honor the Moon by lighting one white candle. Before the candle, lay one pine branch. Meditate about this past year and what your hopes are for the next year. In an act of purification, brush yourself with the pine branch from head to toe and say:

During this, the darkest time of the year,

Long Nights Moon keep me safe and free from fear.

I trust in the future, I trust fate,

I trust in the Divine Spirit and whatever awaits.”

Chiron is known as the Wounded Healer of the celestial bodies. Chiron is having a big impact during this full moon and so it brings with it great energy that we can use to do works to release emotional and address outstanding healing issues. This full moon is in Gemini which means that generally works that are related to communication, self -expression, the way we connect to the community, Throat Chakra balancing and travel are good to do during this time. You can also focus this moon for physical healing ritual for ailments of the shoulder, arms, hands or lungs.

As for me and my works, since Gemini is influenced by Chiron I think I will focus my intentions on healing my emotional self, maybe I will do a shamanic journey to get a ritual that I can perform to better my relationship with the community I am part of and to seek healing for any emotional hurts that I have been burying deep down below that involves others within my community. Our world is changing and it is at a fragile crucial state. We need to be agents of change and we need to bring tolerance, love and compassion into our works and our communities. The better the emotional, mental and physical state we are personally in, the better we can serve and support our community.

Many blessings to you and happy magical workings!

Monica

Midweek Spread with Chakra Insight Oracle Cards 11/05/14

My Ipad Fall 036

Midweek Spread 11/05/14 Gypsymoons.com

It has been a while since I did a midweek spread but I just got this new deck called the Chakra Insight Oracle Card by Caryn Sangster last week and well I wanted to start using it! So you know the drill choose the card that you feel most attracted to. Then Scroll down to see what message it brings to you!

Card #1 Inner Child, Playfulness, Lightheartedness, Innocence and Wonder

This card is part of the Solar Plexus Chakra group of cards. It comes forward to remind you to connect with that inner child. To open yourself to the innocence and wonder you can experience in this world. Not everything is doom and gloom but you need to be open to experience it. Look at her she is leaping through the air with arms open looking at the butterflies and rainbows, allowing herself to be happy. You need to take time to connect with your inner child, to bring back that playfulness and lightheartedness that people in love with. You know it is within you, you just need to let loose, be spontaneous and have a fun time!

Card #2 Seeing, Perspective, Truth, Knowledge and Clarity

This card is part of the Third Eye Chakra group of cards. This card is calling you to open your eyes, heart and mind to see the truth and the big picture. We live our lives seeing things the way we want to see them however that may not be the real truth. This is the time to seek that knowledge and bring clarity to your thoughts. Look for the positive in all people and situations and see the beauty of life reveal itself to you. Take a look at yourself and the world around you and see the reality that you are creating. Is it good? or do we need to do a course correction? Take the time to meditate and spend time in self-reflection. This is the time to let go of self-limiting ideas and to allow the real truth come forth.

Card #3 Honesty, Truth, Transparency, Sincerity and Communication

This card is part of the Throat Chakra group of cards. This card is calling you to be honest with yourself and others. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Be transparent let others see right through you. Let them see who you truly are. The world needs to know you. Speak your truth, if there are things that have been left unsaid, take the time now to express them. Stand up for what you believe and for what is right. Find your own voice among many. Know that it is going ok and that you will be loved and accepted by the Divine. Don’t let fear be your guide, but allow honesty to guide you. The more you live your personal truth, the more clearly the Divine can move and work through you. There is something to be said about the expression “The Truth Shall Set You Free!” It will give you the freedom to be unapologetic who you are.

Every week when I do these spread at times I see trends. Last week there was a lot of cleansing and grounding. This week there is a lot of paying attention to our energetic centers and bringing things into balance.

Card #1 Throat Chakra

This card comes forward to bring your awareness to the Throat Chakra. This Chakra functions to facilitate communication and creativity. It telling you that is the times to speak your truth but don’t forget to come from a place of love. Use your heart Chakra to inspire the words that come out so that you can truly express yourself in a positive way. You also need to explore new creative ways of self-expression in which you can bring into manifestation your emotions, feelings and desires. At the end of the day, what does it matter what we feel if we don’t express it. Expression is vital to our connection with others and creativity makes our heart sing. So take time this week to bring your throat Chakra into balance and remove any blockages that you may have.

Card #2 Heart Chakra

This card comes forward to bring awareness to your Heart Chakra. This Chakra functions to facilitate the expression of compassion and love to yourself and others. This is the time to really take a good look at how our heart center is working. Are we being compassionate? Are we genuinely loving and accepting ourselves and others for who they are. This is the perfect time to give forgiveness to those who have wronged you including yourself. Not for their sake but for yours. This is the time to show your love and affection to those around you and really let them know how you feel about them. This is the time to remind ourselves to come from a place of love when we are reacting under the influence of anger or hurt. It is easy to love when there we are happy and loved. It is a total different story to do so when you are in anger or when you hurt. You must let go of those negative feelings and emotions that are not allowing your heart chakra to spin freely and let the love of the Universe flow freely through you. Fill your heart with unconditional love and gratitude and you will see how much happier and healthier you will be.

Card #3 Temptation

This card comes to you as a warning that your material desires and pleasures may not in balance. This is the time to take a closer look and identify self-limiting behaviors and to see if we are exercising self-control. Take the time to become aware of when you may be exhibiting addictive behaviors. This imbalance usually occurs when we consciously or unconsciously pull away from our connection to the Divine and spiritual matters. We start to nourish our soul through material and mundane things. This is the time to remind ourselves of what is truly important in life and to realize that you have the power within you, to free yourself from any unwanted behavior. It is the time to break free and reconnect with a truly nourishing deep connection with the Divine. It is not the easy but you can do it, you will gain strength and character as you overcome this challenge.
