The Goddess has been revealed. Listen to her message with an open heart and know that she will aid you during this time. Take time this week to connect with her and see what other messages or lessons she may have for you.

Card #1 Athena

Athena is a Grecian goddess who is venerated for her wisdom and power. She protects and enlightens anyone who calls upon her. Her power animals are the white owl and black pigeons. Although she is a warrior goddess she is a goddess who fights with her wit rather than brute force. She is the master strategist. Call upon her to help you resolve disputes and for protection. She also invigorates your creativity so if you are working on a writing project or arts and crafts call on her for inspiration! The message that she brings to you is to trust your inner wisdom. You already know what needs to be done so get to it at once! You do not need anyone’s permission or approval only your own. That is why you have your intuition to guide you in your journey. Athena is here to help you see the power and wisdom that already resides in you. She can help remove the blindfold you have put on yourself. Honor Athena this week by feeding the pigeons around your community. Mediate with her and allow her to work her sacred magic on you.

Card #2 Coventina

She is a powerful Celtic water goddess. She is the protector of all bodies of water and their inhabitants. That is where the tradition of wishing wells came from. They were made in her honor and those who asked for her aid will give her offerings of coins. Since our bodies are mostly made of water she is very involved in helping us purify our physical selves. She heralds the message that it is the time to purification and detoxification. It is the right time to go on that cleanse that you have been putting off. Your body is your temple and it is time to take good care of it. Take a sacred bath of purification and commune with her there. Let her energies reenergize and purify your body and make anew. Eat cleaner this cleaner and be mindful of what you ingest. This week increase your intake of her scared waters. One thing you can do is gather pure clean water, ask Coventina to bless it and charge it with her energy. Then you can drink this sacred water during this week being mindful that you are purifying and detoxing your body. You may want to put in the water the following stones help amplify the energies, Amethyst, Diamond, Fluorite, Topaz and Black Tourmaline. Honor her by visiting a local body of water and give it a blessing or provide healing.

Card #3 Sarasvati

She is the Hindu goddess patron of the Arts! She helps us with all our creative expressions like music, writing, dancing and eloquent speaking.  She values knowledge and creative expression above material possessions. Her symbols are the white swan, the musical instrument called vina and the book of knowledge. Call upon her when you have procrastinating or being distracted on a creative project because she helps us focus the mind on our creative endeavors. Sarasvati brings the message to add more creativity into your life. Listen to an inspiring piece of music, give yourself the opportunity to paint or draw a picture. Take a jewelry making class or pottery. Learn a new creative skill.  If you are feeling limited by time or money is because your mind is too focus on materials things and you must detach and once again reconnect with what is truly important which is the expression of love, gratitude and knowledge through the arts. This is the perfect time to allow music and its vibrational energies to help you escape all the limitations of your mind and this physical existence. Let the music stimulate your own creative thinking and see how it sparks in you new ideas and beliefs. If you have not experience trance or ecstatic dance this week might be the best time to do so. Who knows what changes and inspirational ideas it will bring. This week you can honor her in performing any creative endeavor.

Mabon is Almost Here, Are you Ready?

Most of you know this date as the first day of Autumn! I can always feel the arrival of the new season in my body . I feel the excitement in my solar plexus. I always have a need to clean, clean and clean! It is part of my personal ritual to get ready to welcome the new season. In this case Autumn have always been my favorite season of the year. Not only because Halloween and Thanksgiving are celebrated during this time but it has always been, a feel good special time for me. As I look outside my window I can see the small changes all around!

As my nesting mode kicked in on high gear I decided to journey and ask my helping spirits what would be the best way to get my house in order for the upcoming new season. They were very helpful and they said that I should cleanse my home using the drum and to use water afterwards to invite the good spirits into my home.

Once I was done with my journey I did a little research in my BoS (Book of Shadows) to see what herb or oil I can add to my water to bless my house with once the cleaning was done. I found that I have Tahitian Gardenia infused oil and that Tahitian Gardenia is known to attract  good spirits, provide protection and bring peace, which are all good vibrations and qualities that I welcome in to my home. Tahitian Gardenia is also associated with the element of water, so using water as the mode of delivery was a great idea. I began to brainstorm on the best way to get the oil in the water and so I decided to make a salt to dissolve in the water.

Tahitian Gardenia Home Blessing Salt

  • 1/4 cup of Sea Salt
  • 1/4 cup of Epsom Salt
  • 1/8 cup of Baking Soda
  • 10 drops of Tahitian Gardenia Infused Oil

Mix all of the ingredients in a sandwich bag and store in a tight lid container. When ready to use place 1 tablespoon of the salt in a spray bottle and shake well until it is fully dissolved. Smell it and if it needs a bit more add some more! I prepared mine and left on my altar for 2 days charging before using it. The great thing about making the gardenia salt is that now I can also use it as a bath for myself after I do my own cleansing!

Now I am ready to clean my home! I started by physically cleaning the floors, the bathrooms, the walls, the kitchen, my house was spotless! But it was late at night (around 8pm) and I was concerned about my drumming bothering my neighbors. I had my husband step outside and see if he could hear the drum going and he said you can hear it but muffled. That made me a bit worried but I moved forward and hoping that I would not be visited by the Sheriff! I cleansed my home with my drum for the first time and then I proceeded to bless it with the gardenia water I prepared. My house smelled and felt fabulous!  I really enjoyed cleansing my home this way. Now my home is ready for the new season!

Please! always check further into any ingredient listed in my recipes and make sure that it doesn’t post any health risk to you and your family. My intent with posting them in my blogs is to share with you what I do and how I do it. If you would like to try any of them for yourself make sure you do your research first! If you do end up trying any of them please leave a comment and let me know how it went. 🙂

What do you do to get ready for the upcoming season change? How do you cleanse your home?

Hope to hear from you!

~ Monica
