Harvest Moon in Pisces 2014

harvest-moon (1)

The harvest moon historically have the themes of abundance and to celebrate the hearth and the home. This is the time they would start stock piling food for the winter which is close at hand. Usually this moon would provide with enough light that you can work a little later than normal while you harvest the fields. This is a moon in the sign of Pisces which is the healer of the zodiac, so performing healing magic during the full moon is a good way to send out wonderful energy to those who needed it. Pisces moon also lends good energies to do dream-work, to expand psychic abilities and practice your creative arts through music, painting, dancing and chanting.

Full Moon Pisces

Personally on this glorious full moon I will be raising energy through dance and chant to send out to all those souls who have asked to be added to my Healing Cauldron this month. I am so looking forward to tonight since I am getting together with a few ladies. We will be connecting this evening with the divine feminine by walking a labyrinth, chanting and dancing under the full moonlight! I am hoping that we are able to fit in a short guided journey to gather insight to further our spiritual growth.

I am also very excited about a new book (that my friend Debi suggested) which I have recently added to my ever growing collection. It is titled 365 Goddess by Patricia Telesco, in it you explore a goddess everyday of the year. It gives you a little bit of background about the goddess and how you can connect or honor her. Today’s goddess is Lan Caihe in the Buddhist tradition she is patron goddess of florists and gardeners. Her symbols are flowers and the flute and she is associated with nature and longevity. She is usually depicted with red shoes to establish her connection to the earth (root chakra) and is portrayed walking while playing the flute or carrying a basket full of flowers. I hope that our activities this evening of walking the labyrinth just as Lan Caihe walked the villages, chanting and dancing invites Lan Caihe to play her flute and revel with us, blessings us and sharing with us her energy.

What a Magical Full Moon Weekend

Took this picture from my backyard.

This weekend was so magical! I really had  a fantastic time. I like to work during the evening hours and since Sunday night the Full moon was going void of course at 5 pm and it wasn’t going to enter Pisces until 8 am I decided to connect and work on Saturday night as well as Monday. Since the moon is technically considered full for 3 days this would work perfectly.

On Saturday I did a scared bath ritual. Below is a picture of my basking in the glow if the full moon from my tub. Yes, those are my feet :). Started by cleaning the tub and removed all of the toys. I have a 3 yo son and I still bath him so all of his bath toys were in it. Then I lighted 2 candles one green and one red. The green candle was lit with the intent to invigorate my the Heart Chakra and to draw in the abundance of our mother Ki (Sumerian Earth Mother) and to honor her. The red one was to facilitate the connection to the divine feminine and to draw in love, fertility and sexual energy.  My next step was to create the bath salt I would use for the scared bath ritual. I like the smell of Gardenias and since they have such great energy to work with, it was my choice for this ritual. Gardenias are known for bringing peace, protection, love, trust, healing, attracting good spirits and excellent for Moon rituals and magic. Once my bath salt was created i poured it in my warm bath. I opened the blinds in my bathroom which allowed me to directly see the moon and receive her glow and energies.

Once ready to commence I disrobed and I brushed my hair and stood in front of my tub looking at the water and invoking the Goddess. I stood there allowing my body and the now sacred waters bask in her loving energy. Once I saw in my minds eye that the water as well as myself were glowing I entered the sacred waters and started to chant. I then started my ritual playlist. The first chant that I sang was this Moon Chant by Marie Bruce, the lyrics can be found here. The following chant was Mother of Darkness by Alice Di Micele, the lyrics can be found here. The next one chanted was Ladies Spin by Lindie Lila, the lyrics can be found here. Then I chanted the Goddess Chant by Inkubus Sukkubus, the lyrics can be found here. By this point I am totally connected and full of energy and I am getting ready to merge. Before I do so I chant Moon Sister Moon by Moving Breath, the lyrics can be found here. As someone who employs shamanic practices in her spiritual works, I was now ready to merge with the goddess and while merged I proceeded to chant I am the Goddess by Lisa Thiel, the lyrics can be found here. Once I was done receiving my personal message from her I un-merged and gave my love and gratitude. Then I just relaxed in my bath looking at a beautiful moon. Sometimes there is nothing better than chanting, connecting and relaxing with the Feminine Divine. Rituals don’t always have to be elaborate, the important thing and what makes them the most magical is for it to be full of love, gratitude and doing the things that you enjoy the most!

Bathing in the glow of the Full Moon!

On Monday I decided to release and send out all the energy from my healing cauldron to those who requested to be included. I had a fantastic early evening with 2 of my friends. We went to a Wine and Paint studio we all had a great a time! We all got our creative juices flowing. Here are some pictures from our get together.

My painting and I!

My sisters in the craft!

On my way back home it started to rain. We were expecting thunderstorms this evening. I for one love working with storm energy. I find that it is a great catalyst for change. Once home, I took my Healing Cauldron walked to my deck to start my works. This cauldron was filled with everyone’s petitions and a mix of herbs which was crafted specifically for healing with one of my sisters in the craft. Once I set this cauldron on fire the smell was wonderful! The colors ranged from blue, green and bright yellow. The cauldron filled me with me great happiness and wonderful healing energy, it was just absolutely wonderful! I focused in sending everybody their appropriate energies. I had been charging this cauldron since New Moon so it was more than ready.  Once the fire was out and only the smoke was emanating from it, it was a site to see. The smoke went high up in the sky. I took a few pictures of the fire and smoke which you can see below.

The Healing Cauldron has been lit.

Do you see anything in the smoke?

Lovely embers

Once the ritual was completed I looked up and there through the storm clouds was the full moon. It was just precious. I took a couple of pictures that I have shared with you in this blog. I hope you all had a fantastic and magical weekend feel  free to leave comments on how you connected this weekend with the Divine or just to say hello! 🙂

This is my view of the moon while performing the healing cauldron.

On the 4th of July let’s Honor the Goddess Of Libertas!

This morning when I woke up the goddess was right beside me and she gave me a strong message. She said to me “Let them not forget me, as they have always had my favor”. I decided to honor her and bring awareness to her with this blog.

On this great day our nation celebrates the freedom that we attained from the Kingdom of England but let us not forget and take time today to also honor the Lady that stands guard on our behalf. Our fore fathers felt that this goddess was very important to our nation which is why even today she holds a very important place in our Nation’s Capital.

As Deadline On Debt Reduction Impasse Looms, Super Committee Meets Over Weekend

She is the Statue of Freedom, also known as Armed Freedom. She  is a bronze statue designed by Thomas Crawford (1814–1857). She has graciously stands guard on top of the dome of the US Capitol in Washington DC. She was originally named Freedom Triumphant in War and Peace, official U.S. government publications now state that the statue “is officially known as the Statue of Freedom”. She depicted as a female figure wearing a military helmet and holding a sheathed sword in her right hand and a laurel wreath and shield in her left.

The statue was created to honor and as a representation of the Roman goddess Libertas. Which had given her favor to the newly formed nation of the United States of America.

In 238 BC Libertas assumed the goddess status. She was the personification of all the virtues of Liberty and Freedom. Tiberius Gracchus ordered the construction of her first temple on Aventine Hill in Rome. She was also known as the goddess of democracy. The rod is one of her symbols it was used in the ceremony Manumissio vindicta (Freedom by the Rod) in which a master would free a slave.  The Greek equivalent to Libertas is Elleutheria.

She has served as inspiration for many modern-day symbols including the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island. According to the National Park Service, her Roman robe is the main feature that invokes Libertas and the Symbol of Liberty from which it is named. In addition money throughout history has been created in her honor.

As you enjoy the day with your family and friends do not forget to show your gratitude and love toward this very special goddess. Let us once again give thanks for her favor and to all those man and women who have stood beside her on battlefield to uphold our liberties and freedoms.

Many blessings to you all on this wondrous day!

The Goddess has been revealed. Listen to her message with an open heart and know that she will aid you during this time. Take time this week to connect with her and see what other messages or lessons she may have for you.

Card #1 – Sulis

Sulis is a Celtic sun goddess who oversees bodies of water. She stepped forward this week to let you know that it is time for you to cleanse yourself and get rid off that energetic gunk you are carrying around. The best way she suggests it to do a scared ritual bath for cleansing and healing. This doesn’t have to be too elaborate you can draw a bath add some salts maybe choose a couple of crystals that may want to join you, light a candle and get it in. Put your mind at ease and release those negatives feelings, resentments. Let go of the sadness and the pain that you may be holding on to. Go for a walk by a body of water to meditate and connect with her. You will find healing and rejuvenation there. She is waiting for you with open arms. To honor her you may fill a challis with water and charge it in the sunlight, you can either offer it at the end of the day to nature (plants, bodies of water) or you can drink it so that you infuse yourself with her Divine energy.

Card #2 – Mawu

Mawu is a West African moon goddess who’s believed to have created all life with her husband sun god Liza. She helps those who call upon her to learn how to live in harmony with nature. She ensures that our needs are abundantly supplied without harming the planet. She heralds the message of being more mindful on how you use mother earth’s resources. Get involved in helping the environment heal. Do your part, whether it is to do more recycling, reusing, re-purposing, helping clean-up a natural area or simply do a mother healing ceremony. But it is time to take care of Mother Earth, the way she takes care of you! You can honor her this week by feeding birds, maybe spreading some flowering plant seeds by the side of road or just by walking barefooted on the ground. Or you can just take some time out of your busy day to chant and connect with her. Here is one of my favorite chants, The Earth is my Mother enjoy!

Card #3 – Mother Mary

Mother Mary is a Christian goddess. She is the goddess of faith, healing and children. She is the mother of Christ. She works closely with anyone who is a child advocate, teacher or healer. She is devoted to making this world a safer and happy place for them. The message that she brings, is the message of keeping the faith alive. Don’t give up on yourself or others. Let go of the worry and have faith that the Universe is guiding you to where you need to be and where you want to go. Just be open to the Divine guidance. A way that you can honor her this week, is by doing something special for children in need or just spend more time with your children and show them how much you love them!
