Card #1 Maeve “Honor the cycles of your body, energy levels and emotions.”
Meave is Celtic goddess that celebrates and honors her divine feminine. She is not afraid to be in touch with her sexuality. She is also rules the pains that are related to our feminine cycles as those of our menses and birthing. Call upon her when you are in need to alleviated pain caused due to our femininity. Maeve brings the message that this week you need to pay attention to the cycles going on around you and within you. Our lives are filled with cycles some are positive and some are negative. Take this time to become aware of them and evaluate if we need to make some changes or make some course correction. If you see a negative pattern repeating analyze the circumstances around it and see if there is a lesson that you might have overlooked. Only then will you be able to release and break the pattern. As you know winter is almost here and we must prepare, think and plan how you are going to take care of your spirit, mind and soul through this time. Honor Maeve by meditating on a new cycle that you have learned or identified and ask for her guidance on how you can incorporate this new found knowledge in your life.
Card #2 – Damara, Guiding Children – “You are good at helping, counseling and healing children. Use your skills to help children now.”
Damara is a fertility Celtic goddess whose name means gentle. She helps to bring peace and harmony to families and within households. This week we have Thanksgiving and it is a time in which families get together. If possible during this week reach out to those children in your life. Whether they are your own children or nieces, nephews, neighborhood children but be there for them. Offer good guidance, support and examples. Take the time to spend quality time with them. In our society we have lost the sense of the village raises the child and so many times the opinions or guidance of other are not welcomed (so keep that in mind) but we can change this mentality with time. Know that the love, understanding, protection that you give to the children that are in your life will be invaluable to them as they grow up and later recall on those memories. Be an agent for positive change in the life of a child after all they are our future, so invest in them the most valuable commodity which is love. You can honor her placing fresh flowers on your altar.
Card #3 Kuan Yin, Compassion – “Release judgments about yourself and others, and focus on the love and light that is within everyone”
Kuan Yin is an Asian Goddess who hears all prayers and is the essence of purity, nurturing love and gentle power. She is also known to bring fertility, health and magical insight to anyone who asks. It is her sacred duty to encourage enlightenment and ease our suffering. She facilitates us to feel compassion towards ourselves and others. She is also the protector of women and children. Her symbols are the lotus, rice, black tea and the rainbow. Kuan Yin brings the message that this week you need to love yourself! Be good to yourself! Cut yourself some slack. Forgive yourself and move forward from a negative experience or bad decision made. Accept all of you just the way you are. You cannot change the past but you can make better choices and that is a good place to start. Leave the past behind and live the present to its fullest. See all the abilities and possibilities that this moment holds to make a change for the better. It is never too late to start again. To honor her you can burn some lotus incense, you can place some sweet cakes, fresh fruits, flowers, rice or black tea on your scared space.
