Goddess Guidance 08-15-14

It’s Venus Day! All you have to do to participate is to select a card from the Goddess Guidance Oracle Card deck pictured below and then read below for the message that Goddess holds for you. Feel free to comment, enjoy!

Once again common theme among the cards! This theme is of abundance and to trust that everything is the way it should and that everything that is occurring is for highest good. That in spite of the upcoming changes and challenges our needs will be met and we will grow and flourish! It is the perfect message for this is the time of harvest where food is plentiful and there is abundance abound.

Card #1   Maeve “Honor the cycles of your body, energy levels and emotions.”

Meave is celtic goddess that celebrates and honors her divine feminine. She is not afraid to be in touch with her sexuality. She is also rules the pains that are related to our feminine cycles as those of our menses and birthing. It was said that she gave labor pains to a whole army which was trying to invade her lands and ceased battling while on her moon. Call upon her when you are in need to alleviated pain caused due to our femininity. Maeve brings the message to we need to accept and learn how to work with our cycles. Cycles are found everywhere we look. We see them in nature, we see them in our bodies and we also see it in our emotional and mental states. We just have to be aware of them and then learn to harness the power that comes from them. For me I am very well in tuned with the Earth’s and the Moon’s cycles, I used them to aid in my works. Right now Mother Earth is going from the cycle of growth to the cycle of harvest and soon enough we will find ourselves in the cycle of the dormancy of Winter. We must prepare like our ancestors did. We must make sure that not only our physical needs are met but that our spiritual mental and emotional ones are too. How are you planning to keep that connection with Nature during the winter months? Due to this disconnection is why a lot of people suffer from cabin fever or seasonal depression. This is the time to plan for the months ahead. Cleanse your home and do a cord cutting ceremony so that you may be clear and fresh to really full appreciate and be present during the this cycle and the next. Honor Maeve by meditating on a new cycle that you have learned or identified and ask for her guidance on how you can incorporate this new-found knowledge in your life.

Card #2 Lakshmi “Stop worrying. Everything is going to be fine.”

Lakshmi is a beautiful and benevolent Hindu goddess who brings abundance. She is connected to the element of water, the Lotus flower and elephants. Her connection to water represents her absolute faith in fertility and abundance that is available to all. She works directly with Ganesh which is a Hindu god known to be the remover of obstacles. With him by her side there is nothing they cannot overcome, they are the perfect combination to help you release fear and accept abundance. Her message is to let you know that your needs will always be met and you do not have to fear what comes ahead. Take time to center yourself and really understand and accept this truth. Everything will be fine. Let go of the fears and in its place have positive thoughts and intentions for your life and situation. If you like to connect with her in a deeper level you can visit a body of water and release a lotus flower and call upon her gifts. You can acquire a lotus flower or an elephant and place it in water and keep in your altar or just a simple meditation to connect with her will suffice.

Card #3 Sedna “You are supplied today and all of your tomorrows.”

Sedna is an Inuit Eskimo and Alaskan goddess of the Sea who provides sustenance for the body and the soul. She is intimately connected to the inhabitants of the oceans given the fact that they are part of her. The myth has it that she lost the tips of her fingers in a boating accident and they became the whales, seals and other seas creatures. She is another goddess of abundance. Her message again is to have trust and know that your needs will always be met. Live in the moment and do not worry about the future. With proper planning you will have more than enough for you, your family and friends. This is the time to share with others the bounty. J You can honor Sedna by visiting the ocean and leaving an offering or by just being mindful about the ocean related things that you may buy. Make sure that they were mindfully harvested or you can donate to one of the many organizations that are currently working to save and restore our oceans.

What a Magical Full Moon Weekend

Took this picture from my backyard.

This weekend was so magical! I really had  a fantastic time. I like to work during the evening hours and since Sunday night the Full moon was going void of course at 5 pm and it wasn’t going to enter Pisces until 8 am I decided to connect and work on Saturday night as well as Monday. Since the moon is technically considered full for 3 days this would work perfectly.

On Saturday I did a scared bath ritual. Below is a picture of my basking in the glow if the full moon from my tub. Yes, those are my feet :). Started by cleaning the tub and removed all of the toys. I have a 3 yo son and I still bath him so all of his bath toys were in it. Then I lighted 2 candles one green and one red. The green candle was lit with the intent to invigorate my the Heart Chakra and to draw in the abundance of our mother Ki (Sumerian Earth Mother) and to honor her. The red one was to facilitate the connection to the divine feminine and to draw in love, fertility and sexual energy.  My next step was to create the bath salt I would use for the scared bath ritual. I like the smell of Gardenias and since they have such great energy to work with, it was my choice for this ritual. Gardenias are known for bringing peace, protection, love, trust, healing, attracting good spirits and excellent for Moon rituals and magic. Once my bath salt was created i poured it in my warm bath. I opened the blinds in my bathroom which allowed me to directly see the moon and receive her glow and energies.

Once ready to commence I disrobed and I brushed my hair and stood in front of my tub looking at the water and invoking the Goddess. I stood there allowing my body and the now sacred waters bask in her loving energy. Once I saw in my minds eye that the water as well as myself were glowing I entered the sacred waters and started to chant. I then started my ritual playlist. The first chant that I sang was this Moon Chant by Marie Bruce, the lyrics can be found here. The following chant was Mother of Darkness by Alice Di Micele, the lyrics can be found here. The next one chanted was Ladies Spin by Lindie Lila, the lyrics can be found here. Then I chanted the Goddess Chant by Inkubus Sukkubus, the lyrics can be found here. By this point I am totally connected and full of energy and I am getting ready to merge. Before I do so I chant Moon Sister Moon by Moving Breath, the lyrics can be found here. As someone who employs shamanic practices in her spiritual works, I was now ready to merge with the goddess and while merged I proceeded to chant I am the Goddess by Lisa Thiel, the lyrics can be found here. Once I was done receiving my personal message from her I un-merged and gave my love and gratitude. Then I just relaxed in my bath looking at a beautiful moon. Sometimes there is nothing better than chanting, connecting and relaxing with the Feminine Divine. Rituals don’t always have to be elaborate, the important thing and what makes them the most magical is for it to be full of love, gratitude and doing the things that you enjoy the most!

Bathing in the glow of the Full Moon!

On Monday I decided to release and send out all the energy from my healing cauldron to those who requested to be included. I had a fantastic early evening with 2 of my friends. We went to a Wine and Paint studio we all had a great a time! We all got our creative juices flowing. Here are some pictures from our get together.

My painting and I!

My sisters in the craft!

On my way back home it started to rain. We were expecting thunderstorms this evening. I for one love working with storm energy. I find that it is a great catalyst for change. Once home, I took my Healing Cauldron walked to my deck to start my works. This cauldron was filled with everyone’s petitions and a mix of herbs which was crafted specifically for healing with one of my sisters in the craft. Once I set this cauldron on fire the smell was wonderful! The colors ranged from blue, green and bright yellow. The cauldron filled me with me great happiness and wonderful healing energy, it was just absolutely wonderful! I focused in sending everybody their appropriate energies. I had been charging this cauldron since New Moon so it was more than ready.  Once the fire was out and only the smoke was emanating from it, it was a site to see. The smoke went high up in the sky. I took a few pictures of the fire and smoke which you can see below.

The Healing Cauldron has been lit.

Do you see anything in the smoke?

Lovely embers

Once the ritual was completed I looked up and there through the storm clouds was the full moon. It was just precious. I took a couple of pictures that I have shared with you in this blog. I hope you all had a fantastic and magical weekend feel  free to leave comments on how you connected this weekend with the Divine or just to say hello! 🙂

This is my view of the moon while performing the healing cauldron.

Goddess Guidance 08-08-14

It’s Venus Day and it is only befitting that we look to her for guidance. I used the Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. Let’s see which Goddess comes forward to bring you guidance and support for this upcoming week!  All you have to do to participate is to select a card from the Goddess Guidance Oracle Card deck pictured below and then read below for the message that Goddess holds for you. Feel free to comment, enjoy!

Card #1 Sulis “Spend time near water, such as a lake, river, or the ocean, to recharge your batteries.”

Sulis is a Celtic sun goddess who oversees bodies of water. Though you have seen this goddess stepped forward before her energy this week was mainly focused in her association with the element of water. As we know water is the element that we associate with emotions as well as our intuition. She is bringing the message to take time to recharge because if you don’t you will emotionally become and empty well. It is good to give but we also have to take care of ourselves. Take sometime this week to connect and activate your Heart Chakra and to give forgiveness to yourself and others. If you do this you will recharge in a positive way which will then enable you to continue to give your love freely! To honor her you may fill a chalice with water and charge it in the sunlight (since she is a sun goddess), you can either offer it at the end of the day to nearby plants, bodies of water or you can drink it so that you infuse yourself with her Divine energy.

Card #2 Athena “You know what to do. Trust your inner wisdom and take appropriate action without delay.”

Athena is a Grecian goddess who is venerated for her wisdom and power. She protects and enlightens anyone who calls upon her. It is interesting that earlier this week the Wolf came forward with this same message, by connecting with your inner wisdom you achieve personal power. So now if you are having trouble connecting she is here to lend her energies to facilitate this connection with your inner self. Although she is a warrior goddess she is a goddess who fights with her wit rather than brute force. She is the master strategist. Call upon her to help you resolve disputes and for protection. The message that she brings to you is to trust your inner wisdom. You already know what needs to be done so get to it at once! You do not need anyone’s permission or approval only your own. That is why you have your intuition to guide you in your journey. Athena is here to help you see the power and wisdom that already resides in you. She can help remove the blindfold you have put on yourself. Honor Athena this week by feeding the pigeons around your community. Mediate with her and allow her to work her sacred magic on you.

Card #3 Yemaya “Important doors are opening for you right now. Walk through them.”

Yemaya is an Orisha goddess from the Yoruba religion. She rules the seas and she is the essence of motherhood and she is a fierce protector. Her message is to make every opportunity count. When one door closes another will open but you will have to go through it to make use of that opportunity. Have your eyes open so that you can see the opportunities as they present themselves to you. This is a period of good luck for you take full advantage. If you would like to honor Yemaya release white flowers in the sea but if not near an ocean release them in a river. They say if you write a wish and put it in a tiny boat and send it her way if she grants you the wish your boat will be swallowed by the water, is she denies it will wash up on shore.

Call Upon the Rabbit!

Call Upon the Rabbit!

In the Chinese zodiac, the rabbit is the most giving and lucky sign of them all! People born under this sign are considered to be very powerful. In many cultures the rabbit is associated with the Moon and the Divine Feminine energy. The rabbit is a symbol for power, abundance, fertility, survival, seasons and the cycle of life.

Celtic Hare by Joanne at Celtic Wildwood

If you are in a journey and you encounter a rabbit it means that you might soon experience forward movement by leaps and bounds. You may find that you go through a period of quietness and stillness then you are moving a mile a minute. This might also be a call to express yourself creatively, connect with your creative side and find a new way of self-expression. Rabbits are also connected with fertility so it might be bring the message that this may be the right time to bring a new life into the family. If you have been experiencing health issues or concerns and you encounter a rabbit in your journey it might be there to tell you to introduce more fruits and vegetables into your diet or to try a vegetarian diet for a while. Rabbit medicine is very positive; it shows us how to attract love, abundance, health, and how to create a warm home. It teaches us to cope and overcome fear by using our own wits, receiving hidden teachings and intuitive messages, quick thinking and strengthening our intuition. Rabbit represents humility, being quiet and soft and not self-asserting.

Figurine made by Demiurgus Dreams

Call upon the Rabbit when…

… you need to trust your instincts to lead you to safety from a dangerous situation.

… you want to have a baby and you have some challenges to overcome.

… the progress of a project is moving slow and you need to speed things up.

… you feel like you need a boost in your creativity or you need help in finding new ways to be more creative.

… you want to learn to cope with fear and learn how to transform it into a positive experience from which you can thrive from.
