Goddess Guidance 08-01-14

Today is the Goddess Day and the first of the Harvest Festival is upon us! It it is only befitting that we look to her for guidance during this time of new beginnings. I used the Goddess Guidance Oracle Cards by Doreen Virtue. Let’s see which Goddess comes forward to bring you guidance and support for this Harvest Season! In order to participate all you have to do is choose a card from the picture below then scroll down to see which card it is and the message it contained for you. Please feel free to comment below and share with me if you connected with any of the messages! Enjoy!

Card #1 Mary Magdalene

Mary Magdalene is a strong Christian woman figure. She was known to be a woman of ill repute. She was a witness to Jesus’s miracles. She was there for his death and later interacted with him in his resurrection. She was known to have a sweet energy, ever forgiving and humble. You can call upon her to help you to learn to forgive others. When she steps forward she is letting you know that you are not alone and she will ease your mind and feelings so that you do not allow what others may think of you to interfere with your well-being. She reminds you that the best way to handle this particular situation is to come from a place of love and understanding. Forgive others and yourself for the things that have happened or not happened. Honor her during this time by lighting a blue candle on her honor.

Card #2 Kali

Kali is a very appropriate Goddess to show up during this time as in the cycles of nature we are at the end of the growing period and starting the harvest season. Kali is a very powerful Hindu goddess of birth and death. She is the embodiment of Mother Nature. She cleanses away the old with fires and storms to make way for the new growth of life. She will push you beyond your comfort zone but the rewards are that you will be at the heights of your own potential. When she steps forward she is here to help you leave the things that no longer serve you behind and she will make room for those things that you want to come into your life. She is here to facilitate you to leave the past behind, cut and clear, to start anew. Take the time to connect with her transformative energies and she would be your best ally to do a cord cutting ceremony during this time of transition.

Card #3 Ishtar

Ishtar is a Babylonian goddess of the Divine Feminine. She is the representation of Venus, in all of her aspects of her divinity. She is the nurturer, the mother, she is sensual, fertile, she is the healer, the one who protects and gives wisdom. She comes forward to remind you to stand our ground. She gives you the confidence and strength to know where to set the boundaries. You can’t allow for others to take advantage of you and you should do things not out of guilt or obligation. Call upon her to help bring back into balance your love of servitude. It is good to give of one self but it is not good to give up on yourself or the things you want or desire. Be true to yourself and be assertive and don’t give more than what you can give.

Kali was the card I chose. Very befitting, because I am right now going through a transition which I am very much looking forward to. I am going back to “My” home that I have been away from for almost two years while taking care of my dad until his passing. I will honor Kali!
