Goddess Guidance July 18th-24th, 2014

Today is the Goddess Day and it is only befitting that we look to her for guidance. Let’s see which Goddess comes forward to bring you guidance and support for this upcoming week! In order to participate all you have to do is choose a card from the picture below then scroll down to see which card it is and the message it contained for you. Please feel free to comment below and share with me if you connected with any of the messages! Enjoy!

Card #1 Sulis

Sulis is a Celtic sun goddess who oversees bodies of water. She stepped forward this week to let you know that it is time for you to cleanse yourself and get rid off that energetic gunk you are carrying around. There are many ways you can choose to do this but since she rules over the element of water I would suggest utilizing this element during the ritual. One way that you can use water to let go of the sadness and the pain that you may be holding on to is by taking some falling leaves and writing on them the feelings, emotions, memories you would like to release. Go to a nearby source of running water and let the leaves go as you focus your intent to let go. If you do not have a creek or river that you can use for this purpose you can always just flush them away. Do not forget to give and offering or love and gratitude. Take some time this week to connect with her by meditating by water, in water, with water because you will find healing and rejuvenation there. She is waiting for you with open arms. To honor her you may fill a chalice with water and charge it in the sunlight (since she is a sun goddess), you can either offer it at the end of the day to nearby plants, bodies of water or you can drink it so that you infuse yourself with her Divine energy.

Card#2 Hathor

Hathor is an Egyptian goddess represented by the head of a cow to symbolize the sacred animal’s life-giving milk and mothering. She is a benevolent sky and sun goddess that helps in all aspects of procreation, like conception, birthing and raising. She is a great guide to teach you how to nurture yourself and your loved ones. She brings you the message that it is ok to receive. It comes very easy for us to give love and nurture others. But we tend to have negative feelings about receiving back what we give. Many times we want to be loved, nurtured or healed but we resist receiving what we long for and need.  This is the time to overfill your cup, to learn to accept lovely gestures done by your loved ones as well as strangers. When love, healing, nurture comes your way be open and say “Thank you” and show the Universe the gratitude you feel for your blessings. Our cup needs to be full, so that in that way, we are better apt to give to others. Hathor also brings the message that you need to be more receptive to receive messages from Source. Our guides, angels, benevolent spirits want to help us in our journey, but if we are not paying attention or set aside some time in the day to allow for this communication to take place then they are not able to impart their guidance and wisdom to us. Honor Hathor by giving an offering of milk to nature. Take time this week to be more open and receptive so that you may have a one on one with Hathor and get to know her and her energy better.

Card #3 Maeve

Meave is celtic goddess that celebrates and honors her divine feminine. She is not afraid to be in touch with her sexuality. She is also rules the pains that are related to our feminine cycles as those of our menses and birthing. It was said that she gave labor pains to a whole army which was trying to invade her lands and ceased battling while on her moon. Call upon her when you are in need to alleviated pain caused due to our femininity. Maeve brings the message to we need to accept and learn how to work with our cycles. Cycles are found everywhere we look. We see them in nature, we see them in our bodies and we also see it in our emotional and mental states. We just have to be aware of them and then learn to harness the power that comes from them. For me I am very well in tuned with the Earth’s and the Moon’s cycles, I used them to aid in my works. Now I am learning to be in tuned with the cycles of Venus. The next one that is attracting me to learn about and get connected with is Mercury’s cycle. What cycles are you in tuned with? How do they affect your life? The decisions you make or don’t make? Maeve is here to bring into the forefront that this is the time to learn more about yourself through cycles and to remind you that whatever is happening right now this too shall pass, as the cycle continues on, you will change, evolve and gain wisdom. Pay attention to the cycles in your life so that you can use them to enrich it. Honor Maeve by meditating on a new cycle that you have learned or identified and ask for her guidance on how you can incorporate this new-found knowledge in your life.

Psychic Tarot and Oracle Card Mid-Week Spread 07-16-14

This is my midweek spread. This week I decided to draw guidance from the Psychic Tarot and Oracle Cards by John Holland. In order to participate all you have to do is choose a card from the picture below then scroll down to see which card it is and the message it contained for you. Enjoy!

Every week when I do these spread at times I see trends. Last week there was a lot of cleansing and grounding. This week there is a lot of paying attention to our energetic centers and bringing things into balance.

Card #1 Throat Chakra

This card comes forward to bring your awareness to the Throat Chakra. This Chakra functions to facilitate communication and creativity. It telling you that is the times to speak your truth but don’t forget to come from a place of love. Use your heart Chakra to inspire the words that come out so that you can truly express yourself in a positive way. You also need to explore new creative ways of self-expression in which you can bring into manifestation your emotions, feelings and desires. At the end of the day, what does it matter what we feel if we don’t express it. Expression is vital to our connection with others and creativity makes our heart sing. So take time this week to bring your throat Chakra into balance and remove any blockages that you may have.

Card #2 Heart Chakra

This card comes forward to bring awareness to your Heart Chakra. This Chakra functions to facilitate the expression of compassion and love to yourself and others. This is the time to really take a good look at how our heart center is working. Are we being compassionate? Are we genuinely loving and accepting ourselves and others for who they are. This is the perfect time to give forgiveness to those who have wronged you including yourself. Not for their sake but for yours. This is the time to show your love and affection to those around you and really let them know how you feel about them. This is the time to remind ourselves to come from a place of love when we are reacting under the influence of anger or hurt. It is easy to love when there we are happy and loved. It is a total different story to do so when you are in anger or when you hurt. You must let go of those negative feelings and emotions that are not allowing your heart chakra to spin freely and let the love of the Universe flow freely through you. Fill your heart with unconditional love and gratitude and you will see how much happier and healthier you will be.

Card #3 Temptation

This card comes to you as a warning that your material desires and pleasures may not in balance. This is the time to take a closer look and identify self-limiting behaviors and to see if we are exercising self-control. Take the time to become aware of when you may be exhibiting addictive behaviors. This imbalance usually occurs when we consciously or unconsciously pull away from our connection to the Divine and spiritual matters. We start to nourish our soul through material and mundane things. This is the time to remind ourselves of what is truly important in life and to realize that you have the power within you, to free yourself from any unwanted behavior. It is the time to break free and reconnect with a truly nourishing deep connection with the Divine. It is not the easy but you can do it, you will gain strength and character as you overcome this challenge.

Call Upon the Horse!

Lady in White and Horse Picture

The horse is a noble animal. He is kind, intelligent and has been associated with fertility and sexuality. He is also a symbol of freedom, power, beauty, grace, strength and nobility. In the Chinese zodiac horse people are friendly, adventurous and passionate. In Greek mythology, the winged horse Pegasus was the source of inspiration and poetry. The horse also played an important role in the Hindu story of Ramayana where the King Dasa-ratha sets a magnificent horse free to obtain the favor of the gods which granted him 4 sons who were the avatar of Vishnu who is the preserver of life. It was also linked to Varuna and as such it is synonym to the cosmos.

The Celts associated the horse with war and its attributes of victory, conquering and longevity. He was also associated with valor which they hailed as the animal belonging to the Sun god, and the goddess Epona is also associated with the horse. Just like the Celts the Greco-Romans also associated the horse with victory of war, honor, domination and virility. In the Greco-Roman myth the horse is said to be created by Poseidon (Neptune) and is devoted to Hades (Pluto) and Ares (Mars). Romans also believed the Horse to be a symbol of the continuity of life, and would sacrifice a horse to the god Mars every October, keeping its tail through the winter as a sign of fertility and rebirth.

In the Native American cultures the horse is seen as a symbol that combines the grounded power of the earth with the whispers of wisdom found in the spirit winds (air). It has long been honored as a helper, messenger, and harbinger of spirit knowledge. Shamans sometimes refer our drums as the horses that take us in to non-ordinary reality. The horse was one of the first animals that I connected with when I started in my shamanic path. I still remember so clearly how it profoundly moved me when I hugged him, it felt as I have always known him. He was brought to me by  my teacher. The love was there instantly. It was like reconnecting with a family member who you haven’t seen in a very long while. I rode him many times during my visits to the realms. The picture of the horse below, looks very similar to my spirit horse.

If you are on a journey and you interact with a horse it could mean that you are about to start a new unexpected journey which will move very quickly once you have started it. It is also a time to claim your freedom physically and emotionally from negative aspects in your life. You may be experiencing some difficult times in which you needs it stamina and strength to get you through it. He is here to let you know that this is the time to call on your inner warrior balanced with sensitive, patience and compassion. It can also be reminding you that teamwork is important that when working together there is nothing we can’t  accomplish.

Call upon the Horse when…

… you feel held back by external circumstances or outdated beliefs and you want to break free.

… you are feeling like a victim and blaming others for your situation because you don’t feel empowered and in control.

… you have an urge to travel and explore new places but have doubts or fears.

… your energy is low and you need a boost in your strength or stamina.

… you know it is time to deepen your spiritual practice but don’t know how to do it.

July’s Meadow Full Moon, 2014

July’s moon is known as the Meadow Moon or the Blessing Moon. It is a good moon to do divination, dream work and meditation. This is also a good moon to do some reflection on how you are living a blessed life. It is always good when we can see how blessed we are for ourselves and let the Universe know the things you are grateful for. When we start shifting our attitude and thought patterns to one ruled by gratitude, it allows our mind to picture a brighter future filled with more blessings and happiness.

This moon is also known as the Full Buck Moon because during this month is when the new antlers of buck deer is pushed out, coated in velvety fur. It was also often called the Full Thunder Moon, because there are many thunderstorms during this time.

If you like to do work keeping in mind which zodiac sign is ruling the moon then you need to know that the full moon will start in the sign of Capricorn and it will transition into Aquarius around 10 pm. This will cause the moon to go briefly void of course between 8:57 pm and 10:07 pm. If you plan to do your works prior to the void of course while it is still ruled by the sign of Capricorn you can consider doing works to help your career. At this time healing rituals for the bones, teeth, knees and skin is being favored. If you work after 10 pm when the moon is now ruled by Aquarius the energies are more geared to doing work that focuses on freedom, creative expression, friendships, extra-sensory abilities and breaking bad habits. The healing rituals that are favored during this time are the ones done for calves, ankles or blood.

At the end, you will decide what kind of work will suit you best. As for me, I think I will take this time to do a 3 card spread and see what message the goddess has for me this evening. Then I will make a list of things that I am grateful for. I will find stones to represent each of those items in my list and then I will charge the stones with love and gratitude. Finally I will give them as an offering to the river by my home. Feel free to tailor this simple ritual to whatever suits you.

Whatever your endeavors for this evening are, always remember to come from a place of love and gratitude. Those 2 energies are powerful and will aid your work immensely. Don’t forget to charge under the full moon any stones, artifacts or blessed water you may have. If you don’t have any maybe you can make some this evening. Have fun and enjoy this evening.

Full Moon Blessings to you all!
